Chicago Weddings & Events is unlike any other wedding planning service because we take the time to really get to know the couple. It is easy to just design and plan a wedding for someone, it take courage and skills to take the time to really understand what makes you happy. Depending on your comfortability, we will invite you to lunch or a friendly video chat to discuss what you are looking for in an event planner. After this conversation, that’s where the fun begins!

Every detail matters.

From creating the invitations, to picking up grandma at the airport, we have every detail planned accordingly. Every bride dreams of their big day and we work endlessly to make those dreams come true.

Not all weddings start off with a hitch (that’s life, isn’t it beautiful). One of our most memorable instances was during the ceremony, the cake vendor DROPPED THE CAKE while bringing it inside the reception hall. Chicago Weddings & Events came to the rescue and had the bakery whip up an almost identical cake that the bride never even noticed the difference. We still laugh about it to this day!

During your day we make sure you are aware of the big stuff, and to not let you sweat the small stuff.

Just like Goldie Lox, we find the “just right” for you. We understand not every wedding has the same budget or guest count. Each wedding is unique in every way. When you work with Chicago Weddings & Events, we make sure you and your guests are happy and feeling like they stepped into a wedding wonderland.

There are many factors to consider when choosing the type of venue for your special day:

Black & Whites

Having black & white photos feel more historic, or classy. The color combination really brings out the love and beauty of your day without the overpowering color schemes. Our favorite choice for pictures to give to family members as a memento.

Candids & Classics

Have you made a Pinterest board with all of the wedding poses you and your bridal party want to try? Making sure your photographer knows your likes and dislikes will help them make quick decisions during your day.

Flatlays

“A flatlay is a styled image without people in the photo– for weddings it's the couples details that showcase the wedding colors and their accessories. Flat lays are a nice way to bring together your details, help define the mood and to help set the story of your wedding day all in one photo.” - Sydney Marie Photography. Your photographer should know how to display those details perfectly.

Detailed shots

The most important parts of your wedding should be showcased beautifully by your photographer. An example of an important detailed shot was a bride we worked with wore a necklace with her grandmother’s picture inside. Many brides and grooms do the same but on their bouquets and boutonnières. We ask our brides and grooms to let us know about those small details so we can relay the message to their photographers.
